Columbia University Stairs (New York)

As a mechanical designer on a team at Feature Walters, I was responsible for bringing to life over 30 sets of architecturally exposed structural steel (AESS) stairs, atrium bridges, and hundreds of feet of slab edge steel and guardrails—totaling more than 1,500 treads. My role focused on ensuring every detail aligned with the project’s rigorous aesthetic and structural standards, contributing to the seamless integration of these striking features into Columbia University’s flagship science facility.
